Equipped with LCD technology, the Nec NP2000 offers 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 800:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 367 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
