Behind the name Chroma is a 3D-LED-DLP projector by VAVA, whose main features include 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 150000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 25000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 17.1 years at 4 hours a day. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 47 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 508 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 339 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2022 and is officially no longer distributed by VAVA.
