As a projector, the Butterfly X05 combines LCOS technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 200:1. An LED lifespan of 20000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. Looking at practical performance, up to 87 cm can be illuminated with 100 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 58 cm. Since entering the market in 2011, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
