The Ricoh PJ XL4540 is a 3D-DLP projector that brings 3000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution alongside a contrast of 13000:1. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 123 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Since entering the market in 2016, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
