The S300w model from Dell combines DLP technology in the Short Distance sector with 2200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2400:1 and a native WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. According to Dell, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.8 years possible. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 104 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 2200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 318 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Dell.
