The projector S518WL by Dell utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 at a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 104 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 575 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 383 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Dell.
