Behind the name EK-1100LU is a LCD projector by Eiki, whose main features include 11000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 100000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1066 cm can be illuminated with 11000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 711 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. Since entering the market in 2020, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains one of the frequently accessed models in our database.
