The projector MC-EW5001 by Maxell utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 5200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 16000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4500 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 6.2 years. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. A look at the light output reveals: The 5200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 628 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 419 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Maxell.
