The basic data of the Vidikron Helios includes 550 ANSI lumens and a resolution of SVGA 848 x 600. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 6000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 8.2 years. A look at the light output reveals: The 550 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 204 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 136 cm. This device is no longer manufactured and has been removed from Vidikron's current lineup.
