Based on DLP technology, the Marantz VP 12S3 projects images in a High-End Homecinema environment, with technical specs listing 700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3800:1 and a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 269 cm can be illuminated with 700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 179 cm. The projector was released in 2003 and is officially no longer distributed by Marantz. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
