With the PicoPix PPX3614, Philips offers a LED-DLP projector that features 140 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a resolution of WVGA 854 x 480. The LED unit of this model is rated for up to 30000 hours of runtime – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. Looking at practical performance, up to 120 cm can be illuminated with 140 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 80 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
