Model Overview

As a projector, the Sony VPL EW246 combines LCD technology with a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800, and is additionally specified with 3100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2300:1. According to Sony, the included lamp lasts up to 3000 hours.
Regarding projection size, the value of 3100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 566 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 377 cm.
Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (8W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system.
Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
