The VPL FHZ55/ model is a Laser-LCD projector from Sony, intended for Stationary applications, offering 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 8000:1 at WUXGA 1920 x 1200. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. This model is available with either a black or white housing. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projection Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 429 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2013 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
