The technical data of the Toshiba TLP S10 includes 1200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 as well as a SVGA 800 x 600 display. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. Looking at practical performance, up to 302 cm can be illuminated with 1200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 201 cm. The projector was released in 2003 and is officially no longer distributed by Toshiba.

Hi Du, If the crash looks like this, that the lamp becomes extremely bright for a short time (without picture) and then goes out again immediately and the projector is on fault, then it looks as if
the lamp is defective. I had the same problem. At first I thought it was a fault with the device, because the lamp lit up briefly (unfortunately this is not measurable). I then sent the projector under warranty to an authorized Toshiba workshop and they told me this and would have charged €500 for a new lamp. Bad customer service, not recommended...
They only charged 80€ for this statement...
In any case, I ordered a new lamp on the Internet for half the price and since then it has been running again.
PS: My original lamp didn‘t even reach 200 hours back then.
After changing the lamp, you have to reset the counter in any case so that you have the current lamp time. You can also use a lamp from a Mitsubishi projector (I don‘t know the model at the moment) but it‘s the same lamp with a different name...

problem
good day first.
I would be very happy if someone could help me with my problem.
I have replaced the lamp on my TOSHIBA - S10 and since then the thing crashes again after a few seconds every time I start it. what could be the reason for this.
Could it be that the lamp counter has to be reset.
If so, how do I do this if it goes out again every time.
greetings steven.
