As a projector, the Toshiba TLP XC2500 combines LCD technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 2500 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 600:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Toshiba.
