Behind the name PJ508D is a DLP projector by Viewsonic, whose main features include 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2100:1 and a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. According to Viewsonic, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. Since entering the market in 2007, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
