As a projector, the Viewsonic PJ862 combines LCD technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 3100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 400:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. A look at the light output reveals: The 3100 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 485 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 323 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2005 and is no longer part of Viewsonic's current product range.
