The 3M DMS 815 is a DLP projector that brings 1500 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution alongside a contrast of 1300:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Regarding projection size, the value of 1500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 225 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Specifically for the educational or business sector, an interactive whiteboard function is also integrated. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by 3M.
