Based on DLP technology, the Benq MX550 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 3600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 5000 hours for this projector's lamp – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Regarding projection size, the value of 3600 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 523 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 349 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.
