The Benq W100 is a DLP projector offering 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a resolution of WVGA 854 x 480. According to Benq, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 1300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 366 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 244 cm. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.

Sensational value for money
I ordered the projector on the Internet a week ago and received it two days later. The device is very unobtrusive in white and very quiet. The main reason for me was the 16:9 resolution. It is easy to operate. The picture quality is very good for home use. The brightness is perfectly adequate. The projector is currently available for less than €600, a real bargain! Conclusion: Recommended purchase for anyone who loves great cinema and doesn‘t want to spend thousands of euros.

Hello!
I had the new Benq W100 for a trial over the weekend. Despite the lack of zoom, I had a sufficient picture diagonal of over 2m at a distance of 3m. The colors are fantastic, as are the brightness and contrast. For the home cinema fan, this projector with its resolution is the perfect starter. If you don‘t have any problems setting up your projector and can cope with the resolution, which is actually a little too low, the Baemer is really well equipped for a movie night or the upcoming World Cup. A purchase recommendation for all beginners!!!
