Categorized in the Homecinema segment, the HD4000U projector from Mitsubishi projects with a WXGA 1280 x 768 resolution, alongside 2000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2500:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.

The Hd4000 has been running as my first TV for a few days now ... and will be sold again.... the picture is flawless, super bright (almost too bright), really impressive - it‘s quiet too. BUT I was fooled because Mitsubishi itself installs different zoom features for similar models... so that I can‘t achieve the desired picture size with this model (distance too short). Well, therefore my urgent recommendation: check the zoom properties carefully beforehand ;-)
