Based on LCD technology, the Mitsubishi XL550U device delivers 3100 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 400:1 as a projector. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 3100 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 485 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 323 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. With a value of only 29 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
