As a projector, the Sanyo PLC XE45 combines LCD technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 2000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 450:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 128 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 2000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 259 cm. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo.
