The equipment of the Barco CLM HD8 projector includes 8000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1200:1 with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 display. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 750 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 909 cm can be illuminated with 8000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 606 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
