The equipment of the Barco ELM R18 projector includes 17500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 450:1 with a SXGA 1280 x 1024 display. According to Barco, the lamp has a durability of 500 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. A look at the light output reveals: The 17500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1120 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 747 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. This model dates back to 2002 and is no longer part of Barco's current product range. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
