As a projector, the Epson USA Ensemble HD Home Cinema 6100 combines LCD technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 1800 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 18000:1. According to Epson USA, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted without quality loss. The exact adjustment leeway can be calculated in the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 431 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 287 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. With a value of only 22 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
