As a projector, the Epson EB G5200W combines LCD technology with a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800, and is additionally specified with 4200 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 800:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 4200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 658 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 439 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
