The projector EB X9 by Epson utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 435 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 290 cm. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
