With the EMP TWD3, Epson offers a LCD projector that features 1200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a resolution of WVGA 854 x 480. According to Epson, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Lens Shift Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 352 cm can be illuminated with 1200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 235 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

I run the projector with a diagonal of almost 2300 mm and am so satisfied with the picture that I can‘t even imagine buying a WXGA, provided I only watch DVDs. (Low light?!?) With progressive scan DVD and speakers in one device, lens shift etc., most people don‘t appreciate it. I wouldn‘t spend 1100,-, but I also paid far less than half, and for that the device is absolutely top!!!

I am fully satisfied
Super compact to take anywhere. Very good sound. Picture quality is good but of course not HDTV. I hope epson makes a successor model with a better resolution.

Not recommended
Flae colors and very coarse pixels, plus so low light that it doesn‘t even win against fluorescent light.
