Based on DLP technology, the Panasonic PT DS12 projects images in a Event environment, with technical specs listing 12000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 12000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 954 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 636 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
