Equipped with LCD technology, the Nec GT950 offers 1600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 1500 hours for this projector's lamp. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 348 cm can be illuminated with 1600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 232 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Since entering the market in 2001, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
