The technical data of the Nec MT820 includes 750 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 200:1 as well as a SVGA 800 x 600 display. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. A look at the light output reveals: The 750 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 238 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 159 cm. This device is no longer manufactured and has been removed from Nec's current lineup. Stationary | Permanent installation in the training room and meeting room as well as the conference room. Small screen width, rooms with very little ambient light below 50 lumens.
With certain compromises in terms of fan noise and black level, this projector has convinced me of its qualities for many years and it quickly became a favorite among my friends. :-)
You can get the lamps for around 50 euros on ebay today, provided you are prepared to buy from foreign dealers.
Compared to current models, it certainly has the short end of the stick, but in view of the favorable used purchase price and the inexpensive replacement lamps, I would buy it again today.
