The GT1080 is a 3D-DLP projector by Optoma, whose specifications list 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 22000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 5000 hours for this projector's lamp, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 98 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 2800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 538 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 359 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. This model dates back to 2014 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
