The UHZ65UST model from Optoma combines DLP technology in the Short Distance sector with 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500000 full on/off and a native UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 50 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 601 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 401 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 26 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
