As a projector for the Standard-Portabel sector, the Optoma ZH506 is equipped with 5000 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 108 resolution and a contrast of 300000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 30000 hours, covering an estimated 20.5 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
